Tiido & Partners Language Agency was established in 2000 by Mrs. Ly Tiido-Nurmetalo, who started out self employed as a freelance translator of English and Danish. In 2001, another partner, Mr. Feliks Tammi, a translator of French and Russian, joined the company. Until 2007 the company was primarily focused on selling its services to the local market. 2008 saw the first successful results of a new strategy – active participation in local as well as international translation tenders with contracts being concluded first with the Court of Justice of the European Communities and also in 2009 with the European Commission. Today we offer translation and conference interpreting services in all major European languages and in many more upon request. Tiido & Partners Language Agency is certified for both ISO 9001:2008 and EN 15038:2006 as of December 14,2011.
Applying CAT (Computer Assisted Translation) tools such as Trados and Wordfast in our translation projects helps us produce high-quality translations within even shorter deadlines. Electronical translation memory is especially helpful when handling larger orders or servicing returning customers, where the consistency of terminology is essential. We possess in-house project management and quality control skills as well as operate a vast network of freelancers. Although we outsource ca. 70% of our services, we strive to maintain the quality and terminology management and tendering to the loyal customers in-house. Read more about our affiliation here.
